Structural Safety Begins in the Classroom

The Education Committee of the Forensic Engineering Division of the American Society of Civil Engineers held a Forensic Engineering Forum on “Structural Safety Begins in the Classroom”. The webinar was broadcasted all over the world. Paul Bosela Sr. provided Case Study Examples on the 1976 Montreal Olympics and the Collapse of the Quebec Bridge.

The Education Committee’s Purpose:

To promote failure literacy to improve the practice of civil engineering and to reduce risk to the public. Provide failure case study resources for educational activities through educator’s workshops, undergraduate and graduate coursework, published chapters and volumes, and presentations, both nationally and internationally
