Dr. Bosela is an honored guest speaker at The Akron Claims Association 2nd Annual Sponsor Appreciation and Networking Luncheon. Most people know exactly what they were doing when they heard the news of the devastating terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001. After these attacks, The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) conducted a Building Performance Study on the World Trade Center. Dr. Bosela was one of fifty appointed as peer reviewers of the Building Performance Study on the World Trade Center after the 9/11 terrorists attacks. Dr. Bosela was a reviewer and team leader for the American Society of Civil Engineers Technical Council on Forensic Engineering (TCFE) team, now known as ASCE's Forensic Engineering Division. Dr. Bosela still serves on the ASCE Forensic Engineering Division as a member of the Education and Publication Committees and is an invited guest speaker to provide education lecture workshops and presentations across the U.S. and internationally (including Italy, England, Costa Rica, Ecuador, India) on forensic engineering and learning from failures. He is currently leading the upcoming ASCE Education Workshop to be held in Guatemala in July 2016. He is a former chair of the Executive Committee of the ASCE Technical Council on Forensic Engineering.
Congratulations to Dr. Bosela on his continued accomplishments and contributions to the society. The presentation will be interesting for all in attendance. The event will be held at the Akron Civic Theatre on May 11, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Reservations are required.
